I have the flu

I woke up last night sick. I hate being sick. I was not able to exercise today and it makes me feel even worse. I was also not able to attend our nutrition class this morning. I was also suppose to donate blood. I have o- blood and try to donate regularly. I have been doing so since I was 18. My mom was suppose to come from AZ tonight, but her flight was cancelled. What is up with today?

I'm not a complainer so let's move on. I am really excited to be doing this challenge. I am almost to my goal weight. I am now smaller than I was when I met my husband Mark. Smaller than I was pre-twins. I love exercising. It makes me feel like I can conquer the world. Tonight for dinner I ate a little different than I normally do. I had tomato basil soup and two pieces of sour dough toast with extra butter. Relax, it's okay I haven't ate anything all day and my body rid it self of lasts nights dinner. So it's all good.

I entered this challenge knowing I would not be the "winner of the challenge" I lost a lot of weight before the challenge and really don't have much more to loose. I see my other teammates working hard, sweating and giving their all during their work outs. My hat goes off to them, and I say to them keep it up and you will see the results both outside and inside of your body.

I am excited for the 5k. It will be fun and I enjoy running outside far better than on a treadmill. Well, that's pretty much it for tonight. Happy Easter Everyone!

I am really starting to feel amazing!

I love the 100 day heart challenge and the results I see and most of all feel. I feel great! I have more energy than I have had in years. Hard work certainly does pay off. I am so happy that I am becoming healthy after having chemotherapy. Chemicals, chemicals and more chemicals. Scientists and doctors don't even know what the long term affects will be or could be. I know that if I work hard to eat healthy and exercise my body will be kinder to me in the future.

Spring Fever

I am tired of the cold weather. I want to soak up some warm sun rays and ride my bike or go running. Splash in the pool or run through a sprinkler and eat snow cones with my kids. I am ready for summer!
I loved nutrition class last week. Our instructor brought us a really yummy treat! Strawberry Salsa with baked whole wheat tortillas. I loved it, it was so good. I made it that night for my family, they too loved it. I love having my kids help in the kitchen preparing food. They seem to enjoy it as well and like making and trying different foods.
Will power, that is something I think all of us lack. That's why we are doing the challenge. My weakness, Miami, Arizona's mexican food. It's mexican like you have never had before. My dad grew up on it and I LOVE it! My problem I am going to AZ on spring break and I know I will have to eat my mixed burro and shredded beef taco and of course chips and salsa. There chips are soooooooo good. They are both corn and flour, and the salsa is sweet and hot. YUMO! So I will indulge but will work out an extra hour each day I do. Hopefully, I won't be packing any extra weight coming home from AZ.
I am looking forward to our next nutrition class. i love going every week and learning and exchanging ideas and thoughts. I love our teacher, she is amazing and always has a smile to welcome us so early in the morning. :)
